The result?

A resounding "meh" from the internet audience.

Some people loved it: What we are, in fact, reading at lunch. RT @Grantland33 Chris Jones on the AL East and his return to the beat. http://bit.ly/jOmx0Q

Some less so: Interesting RT @jdubs88: All our editors/J-School profs told us in our 20s, "U r NOT the story." Grantland apparently disagrees. #CultOfMe

And then there was Jimmy Kimmel, who plays a starring role in Simmons' introductory letter: Simmons @sportsguy33 great new site www.grantland.com I've never seen bloggers more envious/hateful EVER. Keep killing em Bill.
