In a strange move today, GILT became the first retailer in America to start selling the brand new Chromebooks Google announced at Google I/O a few weeks ago.
GILT is selling only the $499.99 Samsung Series 5 Chromebook (which has 3G capabilities) bundled with a Rickshaw carrying case that's designed just for the device.
No word yet on whether GILT will be selling the Wi-Fi-only Series 5, or the cheaper Acer Chromebooks.
